True, I've been designing for eight years, but most of what you see is the last 4 years of my work. When I first started designing, I was driven by friends and family telling me that I had so much talent. That's all I needed, right? So I thought, and quickly learned....Definitely not! To succeed in any business you need multiple talents to make everything work. What good would be making the most beautiful garment if no one saw it. No one knew it existed. Sure, I can pick up a camera....point...and shoot. But that would be like saying someone could make a designer ball gown because they knew how to use a sewing machine.
Fashion Photography is so much more than point, shoot, and click. You have to highlight the garment and the model. You have to SELL the piece. Fashion photography is an art in itself. Together a designer and a photographer can explore ways to draw the eye to the photo, in turn drawing their eyes to the garments.
Four years ago, Miss Lori walked into my little boutique in Jeffersonville, Indiana. At this time I was mainly designing boutique dresses for little girls and boys. She gave me plenty of compliments on my designs, then proceeded to offer her services. During the first year, we grew to love working together and developing a great friendship.
However, Lori's influence on Infinite Possibilities did not stop there. It was Lori who convinced me to move more towards the artistry in design. She inspired me to dream bigger. move away from a simple "manufacturer". Since then we have started doing quarterly themed shoots where we work towards highlighting both our arts. I bet you all can't wait to hear all about our next shoot.
We love you Miss Lori......our kids love you....and our models love you. Hoping for many more years of partnership!
