Bringing You In

It is the same thing for all small business owners. We have the ideas, we have the products. But what good is having even the best ideas if no one knows about them. Those that find us or have come to know us have great things to say about my designs and my ideas, but how do I reach new clients?
"I didn't even know you existed"
"I wish I would have known about you months ago"
These would be great things to hear if I was a restraunt or a shoe store. However, in this type of business, getting the one of a kind dress might be a one time thing. I mean, we hope the bride will only get married once. Of course, those that are interested in pageants, prom dresses, and photography props could be repeat customers.

The bottom line is we need to know what gets people through the door, even through the website door. I've read the books, I've googled ideas, I've spoken with those with knowledge in marketing. Yet, what I really want to know, is what gets YOU through the door. What do you respond to? We have a Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr. Do you follow us?

Not only that, but brainstorming isn't just about where to advertise, but WHAT to advertise. Do you respond to the pictures? To the Slogans? To the Quotes? Coupons? Contests?

I say it many times. The best response I have had with marketing is word of mouth. Referrals. I am so thankful to all of you who have referred friends and family to me. And truth be told, that's not the only way you can help. Did you know that your comments and likes on our posts help me in the design room. An artist needs critiques. It's what drives us. It's what inspires us. So the next time you are on one of our social media pages, don't just scroll past our posts. Let us know if you like it. Let us know what you like about it. Is it the style? The fabric? The model? The photography? The styling? Or are you responding to the quote or slogan in the photos? Of course we ask that you share the posts that you truly like, but comments mean everything. Keep driving me to produce what you really want to see in the workroom. If you don't respond, I assume it is not a look the people want to see.
